EASTER HOLIDAYS

Easter holidays are just around the corner, and like most Aussie families you may be celebrating with a family holiday or weekend getaway. Before you pack up and hit the road make sure you’re not forgetting one of the most important things… your home
– Keep your travel plans hush hush…. Even though you want to shout your travel pans from the rooftops, try to keep your plans OFFLINE. Facebook and other social media sites can be the first place would-be burglars can figure out your travel plans.

– Burglars prefer to break into homes that are unoccupied so try to make it appear as if you are home. Set your lights on timers and ask a neighbour you trust to take your bin out on bin night and pick up your mail and junk mail. You can also temporarily stop delivery of your mail with Australia Post.

– Research shows that burglars usually spend no more than 60 seconds breaking into a home. Using locks on windows and doors is one of the most basic ways to increase the break-in time, which may cause burglars to look elsewhere. Also consider using motion sensor lights in the dark areas outside of your home, such as your garage or backyard.

– Protect your home with a security alarm system. Research suggests that homes without security alarms are more likely to be broken into than homes with an alarm system. I’m happy to chat to you about the types of systems we can install and the most cost effective.

– You can also keep an eye on your home with CCTV cameras installed by us. We will download an app. on your phone that you can log into and see real time vision of your home.
Until next time, stay safe and remember- …. your security is precisely what we know best!
